If there is one thing we love more than a perfect place for cocktails, wine, and food, it’s a good platitude. Savor allows us to mesh both our loves together because omg – location, location, location! Located literally in the middle of Klyde Warren Park, we could not be more dazzled with the setting of Savor. You get to soak in the full majesty of the park, watch other people do park-things (i.e. yoga, jogging, skipping, whatever), all while you sip wine and eat a salad like a boss. It’s perfect.
When you walk up to Savor, you can’t help but get excited that you will be one of the people dinning there. It’s a beautiful modern building with our favorite feature on any building – a slammin’ patio. Yeah, the patio spans the full length of the restaurant and the wraps around the front into an even larger patio seating area with couches and chairs to lounge around a fire. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful park patio situation if we’d tried. We love looking at the patio, we love sitting in the patio, we love being seen looking at and sitting in the patio. We. Love. This. Patio.
Inside, has a very modern vibe. Honestly, we almost never sit here because *hi* the patio, but the floor to ceiling windows do not disappoint. They offer the perfect view of the park and a beautiful Dallas skyline.
Turning to the food, Savor changes its menu seasonally – which we so appreciate for our waste lines. In the spring and summer, the menu offers tons of lighter options and salads that do not disappoint. There are also more substantial items on the menu for people who bring their appetite. The hamburger is one of the best in town, in our not so humble opinion.
Last but absolutely never least, Savor has a full cocktail, wine, beer, and spirit menu. It’s fairly standard fair, which we genuinely appreciate because we can order out favorites – old fashion for Katie, extra filthy martini for Kristin – without any FOMO over other cocktails or spirits. We’ve also been known to have too much wine (jk, there’s no such thing) here from time to time. In our defense, it’s next to impossible to say no to “another glass?” when you’re in such a perfect spot. Savor is, without a doubt, a perfect spot.
